Now, I don’t have much internet bandwidth connection (some call it in Indonesian language is “Fakir Bandwidth“, it’s mean you don’t online very often, if you’re online it’s just for limited time and amount). So, early this month, I was subscribe an internet broadband, it’s a 3G broadband and using my O2 Atom Life as HSDPA modem. I’ve limited data plan, it’s only 1 Gb/month. Due to limited data plan, I’m using it wisely. I’m not able to download software very often; I’m planning just for browsing, checking my email and chatting.

Alhamdulillah, That is all I have to say.
On 11th, June 2008. I’ve passed my final project exam. Thank you to Allah, for fulfill my prayers, finally I’m graduated from University of Indonesia. After a long way journey, a lot of hard work is now return with the result.

Thank you to my beloved wife for support and guided my study, my family and friends for the support. One jobs is done now, let’s face a new challenge. See you there…

If you are using Maestro (Lite) 100 GPRS/GSM modem, can be a little bit difficult to do dial up using that device. Means we’re using the modem for dial up GPRS to connect to internet. It’s very rare modem, for really special purpose modem. A little bit hard to find the configuration on the internet. After doing some work around to find out, trying and searching the best way to connect with it. Finally I am able to connect.

Configuration:
OS: Ubuntu (Gutsy Gibbon)
Modem: Maestro Lite 100 GPRS/GSM Modem
Connection: /dev/ttyUSB0

Today, two years ago was our wedding-day. A lot of steps already created in our path of life. Let’s through our journey with love. Happy and sad is a part of life, it’s just make our life colorfull.

*) Today my wife surprise me with a cake she ordered. I was surprise because she order it without my notice. It’s a very good surprise, when I came back from UI and shock me with the cake.

I am still using windows a little bit on my laptop (HP Compaq Presario V3660TU), but most of the time (about 95 %) I’m using Ubuntu Linux. I’m using windows just for task that I can’t run on Linux.

I have 3 Operating System on my laptop. First one is my Windows, 2nd is my Ubuntu 7.10 64 bit for working and the last one is my Ubuntu 7.10 64 bit also -but this is just for my trial project or just for trying a new software-. If there is something on the Ubuntu trial project, I’ll re-instal it again So, the main Ubuntu box is safe and secure. I do not need to re-install, re-download and reconfigure my main Ubuntu box.

It’s really difficult for me to reject an Overseas Assignment (Sort Term Assignment for sure) from another branch of office but still with the same company. It’s an Egyptian office want me to join with them starting ASAP, but my manager willing to approve to join by 1st of April. It will be 3-6 months assignment. It’s actually no problem for me, but my condition is not match with the opportunity.

It’s not very satisfying condition when you are stuck with the situation and you want to get the opportunity but you can’t. Oh God, please tell me if this is the best way for me…. Hope you will give me another chance, another way on a much better condition….
