thank u very very much dear Iqbal, u saved my life. i have BBC special documentry movies, but i could not get much volume so i stored them, but after installing smplayer and amplifying it to 2000 in perferences , im realy enjoying my movies , thanku thanku very much

In my opinion, the best multimedia player is still SMplayer. SMplayer is still my favorite one.

Thank you. I also wondered why volume output was low in Ubuntu, despite the fact that I had increased all available volume controls to maximum capacity. I will give SMPlayer a try today.

In your opinion what’s the best dvd/vcd play back software for Ubuntu? I tried totem but didn’t recognize my vcd, but Gxine did recognize. However the volume was again too low…
